What Episode Do Pam and Jim Have Their Baby
Michael Scott's dedication to creating a family-like atmosphere for Dunder Mifflin is one of the reasons why Jim and Pam fell for each other. Without Michael's antics and Dwight's competitive nature, who's to say Pam and Jim would have leaned on each other as a form of friendship?
AsThe Office'snine seasons blossomed into one of the most successful mockumentaries ever, Jim and Pam's relationship grew as well. From friends to lovers to husband and wife, Jim and Pam's love story is one of the best in the series.
9 Season 1: Best Friends Who Need Each Other
Season 1 ofThe Office only had six episodes as an introduction to the series to see if NBC would pick it up. Luckily for the cast, crew, and viewers, it was a hit. In the pilot, viewers learn that Jim and Pam are close friends and each other's allies in the office.
However, it's suddenly revealed that Pam is engaged to a man named Roy, who worked in Dunder Mifflin's warehouse. This complicated triangle was only beginning in season 1. With Pam and Jim so close, it seemed odd that she would be with someone like Roy - especially since he seemed cold and stand-offish.
8 Season 2: A Fun Night At The Dundies Changes Everything
By season 2, fans got to see more of Jim and Pam. In the opening episode for the season, Jim and Pam are each other's buddies at the Dundies. Since Pam was arguing with Roy at the time she just wanted to spend the night hanging out with her friends. After joking with Jim the entire night, the two accidentally kissed but brushed it off as nothing happened.
By the time 'Casino Night' rolled around, Jim and Pam continued to grow closer. Because of their similar personalities and love of pranking, he told her he loved her and the two shared their first official kiss. Pam, however, refused to end things with Roy and Jim moved on.
7 Season 3: Distance Makes The Heart Grow Fonder
When Pam couldn't reciprocate her feelings for Jim, he decided to transfer to the Stamford branch for a fresh start. While he was there, he began to have feelings for his coworker, Karen. That friendship turned into a relationship by the time the Stamford branch merged with Scranton, bringing Jim right back to where he started with Pam.
Meanwhile, Pam broke off her engagement with Roy and ended the relationship at the start of the season. When Jim came back to Scranton, she supported his relationship with Karen but did admit that it did hurt to see them together. By the end of the season, Jim had an epiphany that it wasn't Karen he longed for — it was Pam. The season ended with him asking Pam out on a date.
6 Season 4: Let The Romance Begin!
At the start of season 4, Pam and Jim tried keeping their relationship under wraps but it eventually came out. They didn't want anyone involved in their love bubble. In 'Money,' the two have their first getaway as a couple at Schrute Farms. And by the time the dreaded night in 'Dinner Party' occurred, Pam and Jim were fully comfortable with one another.
In the season finale, Jim was planning on proposing but opted not to when Andy and Angela stole his thunder at Toby's goodbye party.
5 Season 5: An Engagement, A New Job, And A Surprise Pregnancy
In season 5, Pam takes a break from Dunder Mifflin and heads to New York for art school. She and Jim dove headfirst into a long-distance relationship, where Jim was seen to be suffering more than Pam. Jim didn't want to wait for another second with Pam and proposed to her halfway between their two places at a gas station.
In 'Business Trip,' Pam comes back to Scranton after failing art school and begins a new job at the Michael Scott Paper Company. She moved in with Jim and focused on what she really wanted to do in life. And by the finale, she and Jim found out they were expecting a baby.
4 Season 6: One Wedding And A Baby
Season 6 was a big one for Jim and Pam because it was a time where they got married and had their first baby. Everything the couple had always wanted came to fruition in this season. After their wedding and honeymoon, they had a minor hiccup when Michael began dating Pam's mom but they focused on the birth of their baby instead.
3 Season 7: A New Era At Dunder Mifflin
Just like Pam and Jim, Michael found love himself and chose to leave Dunder Mifflin for a new life in Colorado with Holly. Jim and Pam had been working for Michael for years, so it was like they were ending an era.
Dunder Mifflin soon joined with Sabre where their love life was on blast in 'PDA.' Gabe appreciated the fact that Pam and Jim were husband and wife and didn't show too many displays of affection. In this season, the emphasis was more on their changing work lives than their relationship.
2 Season 8: Baby #2 And A Threatening Storyline
Season 8 differed from season 7 in terms of the show's emphasis on their relationship. Pam showed cameras that she and Jim were having their second baby. However, it seemed like there was one new person in the office who could disrupt the flow of their happy relationship: Cathy.
For fans, the thought of Jim cheating on Pam with Cathy was mindblowing, and it appeared to be going in that direction when Jim and Cathy went to Florida for work. But by the time 'Jury Duty' rolled around, Jim proved his faith to Pam and the two had their second baby.
1 Season 9: Trouble In Paradise Before A New Beginning
There aren't too many fans who liked season 9 ofThe Officeand it's clear why. Jim accepted an opportunity to join a start-up with an old friend based in Philadelphia, which Pam was not on board with. This new long-distance aspect of their relationship took a toll on the couple throughout the final season.
The two began to fight while he split his time between Scranton and Philadelphia; they even entertained therapy for a while. For the first time, Pam and Jim were not seen as the perfect couple. Thankfully, the two came to their senses and got back on track, and by the time the finale came, they were heading to Austin for a new life.
